On Friday our class went on a trip to Suhl, a town about 30 kilometers from Meiningen where we live.
At first we went to a book store. Liam joined us as you can see...:))
April 23rd is the so called "Welttag des Buches" (World day of books). You visit a book store, get information about books and join in competitions...finally you get a present: a book. This years book is called: "Der geheime Kontinent" (The secret continent).
Then we went to a museum called "Waffenmuseum" (arms museum). We got to know a lot about history and the use of different kinds of "arms" during the centuries. The exhibition there is connected to proverbs, e.g. "to beat somebody at his own game" and so on. We talked about proverbs in our German lessons. In the museum all of us had the possibility to shoot with a laser rifle. That was great. In the museum we saw china which was produced in Suhl and exported to the US.
